Hoje temos o 3º vídeo sobre Lápis de Cor, onde mostro um poucos mais da gradação feita com lápis branco e também com o lápis Blender, além de outros materiais que podemos usar pra fazer gradação.
No exemplo abaixo usei apenas uma cor e alguns de seus tons, e com lápis branco tentei atenuar os limites de gradação de um tom para o outro.

Today we have the 3rd video about Color Pencils, where I show a few more of the gradation done with white pencil and also with the Blender pencil, besides other materials that we can use to make gradation.
In the example below I used only one color and some of its tones, and with a white pencil I tried to attenuate the gradation limits from one tone to the other.
Quando faço gradação gosto de fazer movimentos circulares bem pequenos para cobrir toda a área; fazer círculos grandes pode deixar falhas, pode deixar o centro desses círculos sem que o lápis branco tenha sido passado.
When I do a gradation I like to make very small circular movements to cover the whole area; making large circles can leave flaws, it can leave the center of these circles without the white pencil has been passed.
Na foto abaixo vemos o efeito do lápis branco na parte de cima, o efeito da gradação natural na parte do meio e o efeito da gradação com lápis blender na parte de baixo.
O lápis branco clareia um pouco a cor enquanto que o blender, como é um lápis transparente, faz a gradação perfeita sem alterar a cor.
In the photo below we see the effect of the white pencil on top, the effect of natural gradation on the middle part and the effect of gradation with blender pencil on the bottom.
The white pencil lightens the color a bit while the blender, as it is a transparent pencil, makes the perfect gradation without changing the color.
Também podemos fazer gradações usando um esfuminho, trabalhando devagar e sem pressão.
We can also make gradations using a blur, working slowly and without pressure.
Existem lápis branco vendidos separadamente das caixas, existem blenders e esfuminhos. Todos podem ser comprados individualmente e cada um deles apresenta um resultado diferente.

There are white and blender pencils, and blur, sold separately from the boxes. All can be purchased individually and each of them presents a different result.

Um outro tipo de mesclagem que gosto de fazer é usando um lápis da mesma família de cores mas com um tom mais claro do que a gradação em que vou trabalhar. Nesse caso, o lápis precisa ser passado com muita suavidade pra que sua cor interfira o menos possível na gradação, já que sua função principal é unir os tons de forma natural.
Another type of blending I like to do is using a pencil of the same color family but with a lighter shade than the gradation I'm going to work on. In this case, the pencil needs to be passed very gently so that its color interferes as little as possible in the gradation, since its main function is to unite the tones naturally.
Existem outros métodos para gradação, para uniformidade de tons e cores, entre eles estão o óleo mineral do tipo infantil, vaselina, álcool e alguns solventes.
Todos eles devem ser aplicados com cuidado e sem exageros porque, como são líquidos, eles passam para a parte de traz da folha.
There are other methods for gradation, for uniformity of tones and colors, among them are mineral oil, Vaseline, alcohol and some solvents.
All of them should be applied carefully and without exaggeration because, as they are liquid, they pass to the back of the sheet.
O meu preferido é a Terebentina porque não é oleosa, seca rápido e dá uma uniformidade excelente aos tons, fazendo uma passagem tranquila entre um tom e o outro.
Gosto de aplica-la diretamente com pincel redondo ou achatado, e o tamanho do pincel deve ser proporcional á parte que estou pintando.
My favorite is Turpentine because it is not greasy, it dries fast and gives an excellent uniformity to the tones, making a quiet passage between one tone and the other.
I like to apply it directly with a round or flat brush, and the size of the brush should be proportional to the part I'm painting.
Minhas caixas de lápis de cor são arrumadas cuidadosamente, por família de cores, sempre dos mais claros para os mais escuros.
Parece exagero, mas não é.
My pencil boxes are carefully arranged, by family of colors, always from lightest to darkest.
It seems an exaggerated care, but it is not.
Confesso que não sou uma pessoa de "arrumações perfeitas", tenho uma "bagunça organizada" onde consigo achar tudo que quero sem esforço algum mas algumas coisas gosto de manter realmente organizadas, como minhas caixas e estojos de lápis porque é menos trabalhoso e mantém o material mais á mão, pronto pra ser usado quando preciso.
Com esse tipo de organização de cores fica muito fácil de trabalhar pois todos os lápis já estão no seu devido lugar, separados por tons, então basta uma olhada rápida para decidir qual lápis vou usar.
Isso me poupa tempo em ter que procurar o lápis que quero em meio a uma caixa desorganizada.
I confess that I am not a person of "perfect housekeeping", I have an "organized mess" where I can find everything I want without any effort but some things I like to keep really organized, like my boxes and pencil cases because it is less laborious and keeps the material more at hand, ready to be used when needed.
With this kind of color organization it is very easy to work because all the pencils are already in their place, separated by tones, so just a quick look to decide which pencil I will use.
This saves me time in having to look for the pencil I want in the middle of a disorganized box.
