Mas, atendendo ao pedido da Fabíola, que é uma seguidora do Estúdio Brigit no YouTube, hoje vou mostrar como fazer uma cola tipo Modge Podge mas com materiais industrializados, mais rápida de fazer e ótima pra fazer decoupage e até pra impermeabilizar papéis.

Last week I showed how to make a Modge Podge glue, on the stove, with materials we use in cooking (photo below), if you did not see the post, it's here: https://bit.ly/2UEHFNf.
But, following the request of Fabíola, who is a follower of the Estúdio Brigit's channel on YouTube, today I will show you how to make a Modge Podge glue but with industrialized materials, faster to make and great for decoupage and even waterproofing papers.
Os ingredientes também são fáceis de achar: cola forte, água filtrada e verniz acrílico.
Quando passamos cola em cima de alguma arte vemos que ela tem brilho, o resultado fica um pouco "plastificado" e é muito difícil tirar esse acabamento brilhoso mas podemos suaviza-lo usando Verniz Acrílico Fosco na mistura; o brilho não sai todos, o resultado não é uma cola fosca, mas suaviza um pouco.
Se não há a preocupação com o brilho ou se, pelo contrário, queremos manter e até aumentar um pouco mais o brilho no resultado, usamos Verniz Acrílico brilhoso na mistura.
O Verniz Acrílico é o escolhido porque é á base de água, então outros vernizes que não sejam solúveis em água não funcionam, deixam a mistura pegajosa.
The ingredients are also easy to find: strong glue, filtered water and acrylic varnish.
When we glue over some art we see that it has a gloss, the result is a little "plasticized" and it is quite difficult to take off that glossy finish but we can soften it by using Matte Acrylic Varnish in the mixture; the brightness does not come out all, the result is not a matte glue, but softens a bit.
If there is no concern with the brightness or if, on the contrary, we want to keep and even increase the brightness a little more in the result, we use Glossy Acrylic Varnish in the mix.
Acrylic Varnish is the chosen one because it is water based, so other varnishes that are not water soluble do not work, they leave the mixture sticky.
Vamos á mistura:
Em um pote de plástico (ou vidro) com tampa, coloque uma xícara de chá de cola forte, não muito cheia, adicione 1/2 xícara de chá de água (não muito cheia também) e misture bem.
Em seguida, adicione 2 colheres de sopa do Verniz Acrílico e mexa com calma. Quando sentir que a mistura engrossou um pouco, estará pronta.
Let's mix it up:
In a plastic (or glass) pot with lid, put one cup (not too full) of strong glue , add 1/2 cup of water (not too full) and mix well.
Then add 2 tablespoons of Acrylic Varnish and stir gently. When you feel the mixture has thicken a bit, it is ready.
Se quiser que a cola fique mais grossa deixe-a um pouco destampada e vá mexendo até engrossar.
Dura cerca de uns 2 anos quando guardada sempre fechada e em local livre do sol. Se em algum momento ela ficar grossa demais, devido ao fato de ficar destampada quando está sendo usada, acrescente um pouco de verniz.
If you want a thicker glue, leave it slightly uncovered and stir until it thickens.
It lasts about 2 years when kept always closed and in a place free from the sun. If at any point it becomes too thick, due to the fact that it is uncovered when it is being used, just add a little varnish.
Essa é o tipo de cola pra quem faz muita arte e precisa economizar pois com 1 litro de cola forte conseguimos fazer cerca de 2,5 litros de mistura, além disso tem um bom tempo de validade e cola muito bem.

This is the type of glue for those who make a lot of art and need to save some money because with 1 liter of strong glue we can make about 2.5 liters of mixture and glues very well.
