COMO DESENHAR & SOMBREAR UM CONE (HOW TO DRAW & SHADE A CONE)

Quantas pessoas desistem de ter um sketchbook porque não entendem como desenhar e ter o resultado que gostariam, e um dos "segredos" para um bom resultado é simples: desenhar e entender luz e sombra em sólidos geométricos!

How many people give up on having a sketchbook because they don't understand how to draw and get the result they would like, and one of the "secrets" for a good result is simple: drawing and understanding light and shadow in geometric solids!
In this video I make a brief study with the cone. Train, search for photos by identifying the geometric figures in them and search for other videos as well.

Ao estudarmos uma forma geométrica é importante termos essa forma geométrica nas mãos para podermos incidir nela focos de luz e assim criarmos as sombras. 

O estudo de hoje é de um cone então precisamos fazer um cone.

O primeiro passo é desenhar um círculo sobre papel branco e isso pode ser feito com um compasso ou até com um objeto circular como um copo, ou qualquer outro.

When studying a geometric shape it is important to have that geometric shape in your hands so that we can focus on it and focus on creating shadows.

Today's study is of a cone so we need to make a cone.

The first step is to draw a circle on a white paper and this can be done with a compass or even with a circular object such as a glass, or any other object.

Recortamos o círculo de papel e precisamos saber onde está o centro dessa figura. 

Se fizemos com compasso, achar o centro é simples: é onde está o furo feito pelo compasso.

Se fizemos o círculo com outro objeto precisamos calcular visualmente onde está o centro do círculo e pra isso dobramos o circulo ao meio, desdobramos, e depois em ângulo de 90º com a dobra já feita, dobramos novamente o o papel. 

Com lápis marcamos o centro do círculo.

We cut out the circle of paper and we need to know where the center of that figure is.

If we did it with a compass, finding the center is simple: it is where the hole made by the compass is.

If we made the circle with another object we need to visually calculate where the center of the circle is and for that we fold the circle in half, unfold it, and then at an angle of 90º with the fold already made, we fold the paper again.

With a pencil we mark the center of the circle.

Uma vez determinado o centro, fazemos um corte da extremidade até o centro e passamos uma parte do papel cortado por cima do círculo para formar um cone. 

Once the center is determined, we make a cut from the end to the center and pass a part of the cut paper over the circle to form a cone.

O cone pode ter a base mais larga, mais estreita.....e prendemos a parte cortada com adesivo para firmar nosso sólido geométrico.

The cone can have a wider, narrower base ..... and we attach the cut part with adhesive to secure our geometric solid.

Jogamos um foco de luz diretamente sobre o cone (pode ser a luz do celular) e começamos nosso estudo: posicionamos a luz e vemos como a sombra muda de tamanho, de intensidade e de nitidez conforme a posição e a distância da luz.

We throw a spotlight directly on the cone (it could be the cell phone's light) and begin our study: we position the light and see how the shadow changes in size, intensity and sharpness according to the position and distance of the light.

   

Hora de desenhar: a partir de um quadrado conseguimos desenhar um círculo dentro dele e subir uma linha até um ponto que será a ponta do cone.

Time to draw: from a square we can draw a circle inside it and move up a line to a point that will be the tip of the cone.

Traçamos a linha do horizonte e escolhemos onde será o ponto de luz, projetando-o verticalmente para baixo.

We draw the horizon line and choose where the point of light will be, projecting it vertically downwards.

A partir desse novo ponto traçamos uma linha tangente ao círculo desenhado que é a base do cone.

From this new point we draw a line tangent to the drawn circle that is the base of the cone.

Do ponto de luz na parte superior traçamos uma tangente à parte de trás do círculo.

From the point of light at the top we draw a tangent down to the back of the circle.

O cruzamento dessas duas tangentes forma a sombra do cone.

Essa sombra  é mais escura perto do cone e vai clareando até a ponta.

The intersection of these two tangents forms the shadow of the cone.

This shadow is darker near the cone and lightens up to the tip.

De acordo com o nosso ponto de luz, que neste caso ilumina o lado esquerdo do cone, sombreamos com lápis o lado direito do cone onde a luz não ilumina.

According to our point of light, which in this case illuminates the left side of the cone, we shade with pencil the right side of the cone where the light does not illuminate.

O sombreamento do cone fica mais suave gradativamente da metade até quase a parte esquerda do mesmo.

The cone shading gradually becomes softer from half to almost the left part of the cone.

É um ótimo exercício que pode ser feito variando o tamanho da base e a altura do cone, bem como o posicionamento do ponto de luz e sua distância em relação ao cone.

Quanto mais exercícios e estudos mais prática adquirimos e melhor o resultado final.

It is a great exercise that can be done by varying the size of the base and the height of the cone, as well as the position of the light point and its distance from the cone.

The more exercises and studies the more practice we acquire and the better the final result.
