Continuando nossos posts de Livros Medievais (tivemos uma pequena pausa para o Carnaval), estes 3 modelos tem uma costura Longstitch simples mas os fechamentos são bem interessantes.
Continuing our posts showing Medieval Books (we had a short break for Carnival), these 3 models have a simple Longstitch seam but the closures are quite interesting.
Neste primeiro livro, o fechamento é feito com a ajuda de uma roseta metálica onde parte da sobrecapa se encaixa por baixo dessa roseta.
In this first book, the closure is done with the help of a metal rosette where part of the overlay fits underneath that rosette.
Neste outro modelo, o fechamento é feito com um pequeno dente, obviamente de plástico, que é encaixado tornando o livro uma peça interessante e diferente.
In this other model, the closure is made with a small tooth, obviously it is a plastic tooth, which is fitted making the book an interesting and different piece.
E no último modelo, um dos meus preferidos, o fechamento é feito por amarração de um fio cordonê preto; coloquei uma medalha antiga com o rosto de uma rainha.
And in the last model, one of my favorites, the closing is done by tying a black cord; I've placed an old medal with the face of a queen.
Lembrando sempre que todos os modelos são artesanais, cada um tem 80 folhas (160 páginas) de papel offset 120g/m² envelhecidas á mão, uma a uma, e depois costuradas em um belo pedaço de courino.
Fechado, cada um mede cerca de 14cm de base x 19cm de altura e pesa aproximadamente 290 gramas, bem leve e fácil de ser carregado pra qualquer lugar!
Always remembering that all models are handcrafted, each has 80 sheets (160 pages) of 120g / m² offset paper aged by hand, one by one, and then sewn into a beautiful piece of fake leather.
Closed, each one measures about 14cm x 19cm and weighs approximately 290 grams, lightweight and easy to carry anywhere!
