Combinação de Cores!
Esse é um assunto que sempre nos deixa com um ponto de interrogação na mente porque as dúvidas são muitas. Mas com a ajuda do Disco Cromático (ou Círculo Cromático) podemos entender melhor como as cores se comportam quando combinadas, e esse entendimento pode nos levar a uma melhoria enorme na hora de pintar, de escolher nossas roupas, as cores da nossa casa, do nosso trabalho.....porque é preciso harmonizar os pigmentos de forma que nos tragam paz, energia, serenidade, força, etc...
Muitas cores quando combinadas nos trazem sentimentos bons, mas outras podem nos influenciar de forma catastrófica!
Há uma parte dos artistas que separam Cores Frias (que trazem sensação de calma e paz) e Cores Quentes (que trazem sensação de calor e de ação) da seguinte forma:
Azuis, verdes e uma parte de violetas e uma parte de amarelos como sendo cores frias e outra parte de amarelos, laranjas, vermelhos como sendo cores quentes.
Eu faço parte da turma que discorda.
E o motivo é simples: quando olhamos o Disco Cromático cru, com as Cores Primárias, Secundárias e terciárias bem definidas até que pode-se aceitar Cores Quentes e Frias. Mas quando expandimos nosso Disco, ou seja, quando expandimos as cores em centenas de matizes, quando tiramos os limites de onde começa uma e acaba a outra, podemos ter vermelhos quentes e vermelhos frios, amarelos frios e quentes, etc....
Também podemos, através da técnica da Veladura, esquentar uma cor fria e esfriar uma cor quente, portanto separar cores atribuindo-lhes o rótulo fixo de frias ou quentes não funciona.
Por exemplo, é dito que roxo é uma cor fria mas se esse roxo tiver mais parte vermelha do que azul ele "esquentará". De maneira inversa, se esse roxo tiver mais azul do que vermelho, ele será uma cor fria.
Nas fotos abaixo vemos alguns estudos de como as cores se comportam quando estão uma ao lado das outras. Muitas vezes uma cor faz com que sua vizinha seja mais perceptível, mais vibrante. Ou o contrário.

This is a subject that always leaves us with a question mark in the mind because the doubts are many. But with the help of the Chromatic Disc (or Chromatic Circle) we can better understand how colors behave when combined, and this understanding can lead to a huge improvement in painting, choosing our clothes, the colors of our home, our work ..... because it is necessary to harmonize the pigments in a way that brings us peace, energy, serenity, strength, etc ...
Many colors when combined bring us good feelings, but others can influence us in a catastrophic way!
There are a number of artists that separate Cold Colors (which bring a sense of calm and peace) and Warm Colors (which bring a sense of warmth and action) as follows:
Blues, greens and a part of violets and a part of yellows as being cold colors and another part of yellows, oranges, reds as being warm colors.
I am part of the class that disagrees.
And the reason is simple: when you look at the raw Chromatic Disc, with the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Colors, they are well defined and we can accept Hot and Cold Colors. But when we expand our disc, that is, when we expand colors in hundreds of hues, when we remove the boundaries from where one begins and ends the other, we can have warm reds and hot reds, hot and cold yellows etc ...
We can also, through the technique of Velatura, heat a cold color and cool a warm color, so separating colors by assigning them the fixed label of cold or hot does not work for me.
For example, it is said that purple is a cold color but if that purple has more red part than blue it will "warm up". On the other hand, if this purple has more blue than red, it will be a cool color.
In the photos below we see some studies of how colors behave when they are next to each other. Often a color makes its neighbor more noticeable, more vibrant. Or the other way around.

Marrom é uma cor neutra, preto e branco são tecnicamente cores neutras que ficam ótimas ao lado de qualquer cor. Experimente!
Combine a cor preta com todas as cores que você tiver e veja o resultado; faça isso também com a cor branca e marrom. Observe o efeito dessas cores quando postas lado a lado.
When we combine Neutral Colors we have an Achromatic Harmony.
Brown is a neutral color, black and white are technically neutral colors that look great next to any color.
Try this:
Combine the color black with all the colors you have and see the result; do this also with the colors white and brown. Notice the effect of these colors when placed side by side.
O marrom é mais suave do que o preto, com certeza, e muito usado para delinear desenhos e dar um tom "terroso" ás pinturas.
Marrons alaranjados, avermelhados e amarelados formam misturas muito interessantes mas tente também colocar marrom ao lado de azuis, verdes e outros tons de laranja, amarelo e vermelho.
O melhor aprendizado é quando você pega o pincel e as tintas e estuda as combinações de cores!
Brown is softer than black, for sure, and much used to outline drawings and give a "earthy" tone to the paintings.
Orange, red, and yellowish browns form very interesting blends but try also to put brown next to blues, greens and other shades of orange, yellow and red.
The best learning is when you take the paintbrush and paint and study the color combinations!
Observe nas fotos como a cor preta e os dois tons de marrom modificam nossa percepção quando colocamos as mesmas cores ao seu redor. Algumas cores obtém mais realce enquanto outras ficam em segundo plano.
Notice in the photos how black and the two shades of brown change our perception when we put the same colors around them. Some colors get more enhancement while others get in the background.
