A Viagem (152): Voltando para Edimburgo (The Trip: Returning to Edinburgh)

Gente, coisa mais linda esse boi ou vaca  (não sei exatamente), acho que com esse cabelo todo dá pra fazer um monte de penteados! No Brasil nunca vi disso, e também não sei dizer a raça desse gado mas que é lindo, é!

Guys, what a beautiful thing this ox or cow is(I do not know exactly)! I think that with all of this hair it is possible to do a lot of hairstyles! In Brazil I have never seen this kind of cattle, and I can not tell the breed of this one, but it is beautiful, yes it is!

Lindas também são essas paisagens: os lagos, as montanhas, o verde da Natureza e o colorido das árvores. Parece uma pintura, parece parte de um enorme quadro feito por um excelente artista.

Já visitei em alguns países mas em nenhum deles, nem no Brasil, vi árvores com cores tão fortes e tão diversas; desde verdes em todos os tons, passando por amarelos, vermelhos e até roxos. Deslumbrante!

Beautiful are also these landscapes: the lakes, the mountains, the green of Nature and the color of the trees. It looks like a painting, it seems part of a huge painting done by an excellent artist.

I have visited  some countries but in none of them, nor in Brazil, have I seen trees with such strong and diverse colors; from greens in all shades, to yellows, reds and even purples. Gorgeous!

Uma outra coisa que gosto na Escócia é o clima, especialmente nesta época do ano porque nem é quente, nem frio demais, é uma temperatura agradável, saindo do verão e já se preparando pra entrar no Outono e depois no Inverno, em Dezembro. Mas em Outubro o clima já pode ser bem fresco com um pouco de geada de vez em quando, e eu que adoro o frio fico feliz da vida quando abro a janela do quarto de manhã e vejo a geada ainda cobrindo boa parte dos telhados da cidade.

Another thing that I like in Scotland is the weather, especially at this time of year because it's neither hot nor too cold, it's a nice temperature, coming out of Summer and getting ready to go in the Fall and then Winter in December. But in October the weather may already be quite cool with a little frost from time to time, and I (who love the cold weather) am happy when I open the  window in the morning and see the frost still covering most of the roofs of the city .

Bom, não posso acabar o post de hoje sem falar novamente de bois e vacas......e o que vamos desenhar deste post? As paisagens ou os bois? Os bois!

Well, I can not finish the post today without talking again about oxen and cows ...... and what are we going to draw from this post? The landscapes or the oxen? The oxen!

Vamos desenhar esse aí da foto, deitado, descansando em cima da grama verdinha.....e pra ajudar você, aqui está um sketch desse simpático boi. Clique na imagem para amplia-la, salve-a em seu computador e pra passar pro papel ou sketchbook você pode usar uma das técnicas que mostrei no vídeo "Como copiar desenhos para aquarela". Com o desenho no papel, é só pintar com aquarela, lápis de cor, guache, crayon, pastel...como você quiser.

Let's draw this one from the picture, lying down, resting on the green grass ..... and to help you, here is a sketch of this nice ox. Click on the image to enlarge it, save it in your computer and to transfer it to a piece of  paper or a sketchbook you can use one of the techniques I showed in the video "How to copy drawings for watercolor". With the drawing on the paper (or sketchbook), just paint with watercolor, crayons, gouache, pastel ... whatever you want.
