COMO FAZER COLA ESPONJA - DIY (HOW TO MAKE SPONGE GLUE)

Cola esponja? Sim, aprendi a fazer quando era criança, com uma professora de Artes ótima e uso até hoje.
É ideal para quando temos vários pedaços pequenos de papel e precisamos fazer muitas colagens, então usar o bico do frasco de cola ou mesmo um pincel com cola além de ser trabalhoso ainda deixa alguma parte do papel sem cola, e usando a cola esponja conseguimos passar cola em toda a parte do papel que queremos cola de forma rápida.
Sponge glue? Yes, I've learned to make it when I was a child, with a great Arts teacher and I still use it today.
It is ideal for when we have several small pieces of paper and we need to make many collages, so using the tip of the glue bottle or even a brush with glue besides being laborious still leaves some of the paper without glue, and using the sponge glue we can pass glue all over the paper we want to glue ,quickly.
É bem simples de fazer:
- precisamos de um pote, de preferência de plástico, com tampa que vede bem;
- cola forte;
- uma espátula ou colher;
- água filtrada;
- um copo pequeno para misturar a cola e a água;
- 1 ou 2 esponjas de cozinha.
It's very simple to make:
- we need a pot, preferably plastic, with a lid that seals well;
- strong glue;
- a spatula or spoon;
- filtered water;
- a small glass to mix the glue and water;
- 1 or 2 kitchen sponges.
Se a esponja tiver aquela parte áspera de um dos lados podemos separar essa parte simplesmente puxando-a um pouco.
If the sponge has that rough part on one side, we can separate that part by simply pulling it out a little.
Dependendo da profundidade do pote podemos usar uma esponja (se o pote for raso) ou duas esponjas, como eu mostro no vídeo logo abaixo, porque meu pote não é raso.
Depending on the depth of the pot, we can use a sponge (if the pote is shallow) or two sponges, as I show in the video below, because my pot is not shallow.
A parte áspera da esponja podemos usar para limpar os carimbos, após usa-los.
Vamos usar apenas a parte macia: coloque a esponja dentro do pote, se necessário corte-a um pouco para que caiba sem folga.
We can use the rough part of the sponge to clean the stamps after using them.
We will only use the soft part: put the sponge inside the pot, if necessary cut it a little so that it fits without looseness.
Se o seu pote não é raso você precisará colocar outra esponja por cima, mas antes de colocar outra esponja vamos preparar a cola.
If your pot is not shallow you will need to put another sponge on top, but before adding another sponge we will prepare the glue.
Em um recipiente (pode ser um copo, vidro ou xícara) coloque 4 ou 5 partes de cola e uma parte de água, mexa bem com a colher ou espátula até que a mistura fique homogênea.
Gosto da mistura com 5 partes de cola porque fica menos aguada, mas você pode usar apenas 4 partes de cola se preferir uma mistura bem líquida.
In a container (can be a glass or cup) put 4 or 5 parts of glue and a part of water, stir well with the spoon or spatula until the mixture is homogeneous.
I like the mixture with 5 parts of glue because it is less watery, but you can use only 4 parts of glue if you prefer a very liquid mixture.
Coloque a mistura de cola e água sobre a esponja e vá apertando suavemente com a colher ou espátula para que a mistura entre na esponja, saturando-a.
Place the mixture of glue and water on the sponge and press it gently with the spoon or spatula so that the mixture enters the sponge, saturating it.
Coloque a mistura até perceber que a esponja não consegue mais absorve-la, está completa.
Se você vai usar mais de uma esponja, este é o momento de colocar a outra por cima e fazer o mesmo procedimento: colocar a mistura de cola até saturar a esponja.
Put the mixture in until you notice that the sponge can no longer absorb it, it is complete.
If you are going to use more than one sponge, this is the time to put the other on top and do the same procedure: put the glue mixture until the sponge is saturated.
E está pronta a cola esponja!
É só passar os pequenos pedaços de papel na superfície da esponja e colar onde quiser!
Pode usar uma pinça ou simplesmente os dedos.
And the sponge glue is ready!
Just pass the small pieces of paper on the surface of the sponge and stick it where you want!
You can use tweezers or just your fingers.
Quando for usar a cola esponja coloque o pote de ponta cabeça uns 15 minutos antes, tampado, claro. Isso porque a cola tende a descer para o fundo do pote então quando abrimos o pote a esponja parece ter pouca cola.
Quando sentir que a cola está acabando basta fazer uma nova mistura e colocar no pote da mesma forma, e de tempos em tempos, antes de colocar nova mistura de cola tire as esponjas, lave-as em água corrente, deixe secar e faça novamente o procedimento acima.
When using the sponge glue put the pot upside down about 15 minutes before, covered, of course. That's because the glue tends to go down to the bottom of the pot so when we open the pot the sponge seems to have little glue.
When you feel that the glue is running out, just make a new mixture and put it in the pot in the same way, and from time to time, before adding a new glue mixture, remove the sponges, wash them under running water, let them dry and do again above procedure above.
