Hoje temos o terceiro vídeo do Parque Lage, onde faço mais um desenho e pinto com aquarela. 

A foto acima representa a pintura de hoje; é o pátio interno do palacete com cores ocre, amareladas, sutis toques de rosado e azul, e o verde da mata ao fundo.

Today we have the third video of the Park Lage, where I do another drawing and I paint with watercolor.

The photo above represents today's painting; it is the internal courtyard of the little palace with ochre, yellow, subtle touches of rosy and blue, and the green of the forest in the background.

O material que usei em todos os sketches foi:

- sketchbook do Estúdio Brigit;

- lapiseira HB da Koh-I-Noor;

- borracha;

- mesa portátil feita no estúdio; 

- pincel com reservatório;

- meia de pulso para limpar pincel;

- aquarela nas cores: Payne's Gray; Turqouise, Permanent Red Medium, Yellow Ochre, Dioxazine Purple.

- Cores para vegetação: Azo Yellow, Leaf Green, Olive Green;

- Caneta pincel Koi Sakura Dark Cool Gray.

The material I used in all the sketches was:

- Estudio Brigit' sketchbook;

- HB pencil from Koh-I-Noor;

- eraser;

- portable table made in the studio; 

- brush with reservoir;

- wrist sock to clean brush;

- watercolors: Payne's Gray; Turqouise, Permanent Red Medium, Yellow Ocher, Purple Dioxazine.

- Colors for vegetation: Azo Yellow, Leaf Green, Olive Green;

- Koi Sakura Dark Cool Gray Brush Pen.

Continuando a matéria da semana passada, dentro do palacete a arquitetura é muito interessante, poderia estar melhor preservada, mas mesmo assim podemos observar as paredes e colunas rebuscadas, uma bela arte. Também podemos ver o Cristo Redentor ao fundo, ou seja, uma bela paisagem!

Continuing the story of last week, inside the palace the architecture is very interesting, could be better preserved, but even then we can observe the walls and ornate columns, a beautiful art. We can also see the Christ Redeemer in the background, that is, a beautiful landscape!

O palácio é voltado pra dentro, há um pátio interno e uma pequena piscina que podemos chamar de lago artificial, mas sem peixes, e uma cafeteria que também serve almoços.

The palace faces inside, there is an internal courtyard and a small swimming pool that we can call artificial lake, but without fish, and a cafeteria that also serves lunch.

Fiz também 4 sketches, o tempo era curto porque eu tinha hora pra ir embora.

O primeiro que fiz foi este da foto abaixo, não gravei vídeo, mas aqui está:

Depois, sentada nos jardins e ainda com a névoa da manhã desenhei o palacete com lápis mas não aquarelei no mesmo dia, e desta vez gravei vídeo:

Then, sitting in the gardens and still in the morning mist I drew the palace with a pencil but I did not watercolor it on  the same day, and this time I recorded  a video:

Visita ao Parque Lage #1- Rio de Janeiro (Visiting Parque Lage) - VIDEO

Vamos passear um pouco no Rio de Janeiro? O Parque Lage é uma ótima opção de lazer pra toda a família e também pra quem gosta de desenhar e pintar.

Nele há a Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, que pensei que tivesse alguma ligação com a UFRJ (Universidade federal do Rio de Janeiro) mas pelo que li nas informações não existe essa ligação.

Não é permitida a entrada de veículos, então o jeito foi ir a pé desde os portões enormes até o palacete e depois andar um pouco pelo parque. Cheguei cedo, umas 9h da manhã, os portões estavam abertos mas o palacete onde há a escola de artes ainda estava fechado.

Let's go for a walk in Rio de Janeiro? The Parque Lage is a great leisure option for the whole family and also for those who like to draw and paint.

In it there is the Visual Arts School of Parque Lage, which I thought had some connection with UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) but from what I read in the information there is no such connection.

Vehicles are not allowed, so I had to walk from the huge gates to the small palace and then walk a bit through the park. I arrived early, about 9 a.m. in the morning, the gates were open but the small palace (where  the arts school takes place) was still closed.

Aqui também é local para exposições  e até pra um bom café da manhã e almoço, por isso passar o dia aqui é uma escolha fácil de ser feita.

Here is also an exhibition venue and even a good breakfast and lunch, so spending the day here is an easy choice to make.

 O palacete é antigo, funcionava como engenho de cana de açúcar até que em 1811, Rodrigo de Freitas Mello e Castro comprou o local e começa a história do que conhecemos hoje como Parque Lage.

The palace is old, it worked as a sugar cane mill until in 1811, Rodrigo de Freitas Mello e Castro bought the place and begins the history of what we know today as Parque Lage.

Meu horário estava apertado: ás 11h30min tinha que ir embora.

Então andei um pouco pelo lugar, visitei a pequena loja de materiais artísticos que há lá dentro, fiz alguns sketches, tirei fotos, filmei e tomei um bom café!



Semana que vem não perca a segunda parte deste post, com mais fotos desse lugar lindo!

My schedule was tight: at 11:30 a.m. had to leave.

So I walked around the place, visited the little art store inside it, made some sketches, took pictures, filmed and had a good coffee!

From the series of images of Christ the Redeemer, here is another floral one.

It is approximately 20 cm tall and weighs 400 grams.

O manto dele é em decoupage e as partes brancas pintei com verniz perolado.

His mantle is in decoupage and the white parts were painted with pearl varnish.

Ainda tenho mais dois para mostrar, beijos!

Este é o segundo Cristo Redentor que fiz, desta vez com roupa bem colorida.


Mede cerca de 20  cm de altura e pesa 400 gramas.


A técnica é decoupage sobre gesso e em algumas partes eu pintei com prateado e perolado pra realçar, por exemplo, o cabelo é perolado e a parte abaixo da roupa é prateada.


A base fiz com decoupage de folhagens, dei o acabamento com fita de cetim e por baixo forrei com feltro para não arranhar a superfície onde será colocado.


Estou fazendo mais dois, depois eu mostro.

This is the second Christ the Redeemer I have made, this time with well-colored clothing.

It is approximately 20 cm tall and weighs 400 grams.

The technique is decoupage on plaster and some parts I painted with silver and pearl to highlight, for example, the hair is pearly and the part below the clothing is silver.

The base I have covered with decoupage foliage, I've  finished with satin ribbon and under the statue I lined with felt to avoid scratching the surface where it will be placed.

I'm doing two more statues, I'll show you later.

Nem preciso dizer que este é um dos monumentos mais famosos do mundo, né?

Só que com outra roupa! Nada daquela capa branca.....um pouco de cor e flor, em tudo!



Mede cerca de 20  cm de altura e pesa 400 gramas.



A técnica é decoupage sobre gesso e em algumas partes eu pintei com prateado e perolado pra realçar.



A base fiz com decoupage de folhagens, dei o acabamento com fita de cetim e por baixo forrei com feltro para não arranhar o móvel onde será colocado.



Vou fazer mais alguns, gostei!

Needless to say, this is one of the most famous monuments in the world, isn't it?

But with other clothing! Nothing of that white hood ..... a little color and flower, at all!



It is approximately 20 cm tall and weighs 400 grams.



The technique is decoupage on plaster and some parts I painted with silver and pearl to highlight.



On the base is decoupage foliage, then I have finished with satin ribbon and under the statue I lined with felt to avoid scratching the mobile where it will be placed.



I'll do some more, I liked it!

Envelopes Transparentes - Rio de Janeiro (Transparent Envelopes)

Muita gente gostou dos envelopes de papel pergaminho com folhagens e hoje fiz estes, mostrando uma silhueta do Rio de Janeiro, precisamente do Cristo Redentor e do Pão de Açúcar.

Hello! 

Many people liked the envelopes of parchment paper with foliage and today I made these, showing a silhouette of Rio de Janeiro, precisely of the Cristo Redentor and the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

O envelope de papel pergaminho tem a vantagem de ficar "colorido" de acordo com a cor do cartão de mensagens que estiver dentro dele.

The parchment paper envelope has the advantage of getting "colored" according to the color of the card  inside it.

Cada envelope mede aproximadamente 12 x 8,5cm.

Each envelope measures approximately 12 x 8.5 cm.

Os cartões para escrever mensagens são em papel Color Plus, nas cores branco, verde, azul e marfim.

O contraste com a silhueta do Rio fica ótimo!

The cards are to write messages, and they are in  Color Plus paper, 120g/m², in white, green, blue and ivory colors. 



The contrast with the silhouette of Rio looks great!

Tudo feito á mão, artesanalmente. São envelopes mais simples mas de grande efeito.

All handcrafted, handmade. They're simple envelopes but with great effect.

Semana passada mostrei os novos Lux University, coloridos e com os principais pontos turísticos do Rio, não foi?

Hi, guys!

Last week I showed the new Lux University, colorful and with the main sights of Rio.

Fez sucesso, muita gente gostou...e teve uma amiga, a Silvia, que me pediu um Lux University mas com lombada e capa de trás na cor verde.

It was successful, many people liked it ... and  a friend of mine, Silvia, asked me for a Lux University  but with the spine and back cover in green.

E não é que ficou lindo? No tecido predominam as cores verde, laranja e amarelo e a capa verde serviu pra realçar ainda mais essas cores, adorei!

Beautiful! On the front cover we have green, orange and yellow and the green back cover highlighted all the colors, I loved it!

O livro é pra faculdade de Direito e a Sílvia vai começar o ano letivo arrasando! Acho que ela disse que era pra Direito Penal. 

The book is to be used in a law University and Silvia will be successful with it!! I think she said it was to Criminal Law.

Ela queria um livro bonito, diferente e que futuramente servisse de fonte de consulta, enfim, um livro que ela pudesse aproveitar pra vida acadêmica toda.

She wanted a beautiful and different book to serve as a reference source in the future, finally, a book that she could enjoy for all her academic life.

Atendendo ao pedido coloquei um pingente de guitarra no marcador de página.

At the request I put a guitar pendant on the page marker.

O ponto turístico mostrado na capa é o Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.

The tourist spot shown on the cover is the Teatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro.

E pra quem pensa que o Lux University é só pra meninas....também tem engenheiro usando!
