COMO FAZER COLA COM CMC - DIY (HOW TO MAKE GLUE WITH CMC)

Mas o que é CMC?

É a sigla de Carboxi Metil Celulose que por ser um espessante, estabilizante e aglutinante amplamente utilizado em alimentos, cosméticos, papel, produtos farmacêuticos, tintas...
e também podemos fazer cola com ele!

Qual é a vantagem dessa cola? O tempo de "pega"!

Quantas vezes acabamos de colar um papel e precisamos retira-lo para colocar melhor ou mesmo substituir por outro papel mas... já está colado, o tempo de colagem é bem rápido!

Misturando CMC com cola branca na proporção certa podemos retardar o tempo de "pega" (que é o tempo antes do papel realmente colar em alguma superfície) ganhando alguns segundos a mais para poder mexer e ajeitar melhor.

Além disso a cola desliza suave, macia, e com apenas uma colher de sopa dá pra fazer uma boa quantidade de CMC!

But what is CMC?

It is the acronym for Carboxy Methyl Cellulose which as a thickener, stabilizer and binder widely used in food, cosmetics, paper, pharmaceuticals, paints ...

and we can also make glue from it!

What is the advantage of this glue? The "catch" time!

How many times have we just pasted a paper and need to remove it to put it better or even replace it with another paper but ... it is already glued, the gluing time is very fast!

By mixing CMC with white glue in the right proportion, we can delay the "catch" time (which is the time before the paper actually sticks to some surface), gaining a few more seconds to be able to replace it better.

In addition, the glue glides smooth, soft, and with just a tablespoon you can make a good amount of CMC!

CMC é um pó branco, bem fino, que pode ser comprado por quilo ou em potes menores. Você encontra CMC á venda em lojas de produtos para confeitaria e pela internet também.

Vamos usar colher e xícara padrão mas se você não tiver use uma colher de sopa e uma xícara de chá comum.

CMC is a very fine white powder that can be purchased by kilo or in smaller pots. You can find CMC for sale in confectionery stores and on the internet as well.

We will use a standard spoon and cup but if you don't have them, use a tablespoon and a cup of ordinary tea.

Esquente o equivalente a uma xícara de água filtrada (190ml); pode ser no microondas por 40 segundos ou diretamente no fogão.

Em um pote de vidro que tenha tampa, coloque a água quente.

Meça uma colher de sopa de CMC (equivalente a 8 gramas) e derrame bem devagar na água, mexendo com um garfo ou com um pequeno fouet.

Heat the equivalent of a cup of filtered water (190ml); it can be in the microwave for 40 seconds or directly on the stove.

In a glass jar that has a lid, place the hot water.

Measure out a tablespoon of CMC (equivalent to 8 grams) and pour it slowly into the water, stirring with a fork or a small fouet.

Bata sem parar e vá acrescentando o pó de CMC até acabar.

Calma! Empelotou tudo, parece que não vai dar certo, né?

Beat without stopping and add the CMC powder until finished.

Calm down! It seems stuffed, it looks like it won't work, right?

Com uma colher volte a mexer, tentando esmagar as partes sólidas que se formaram.

Não se desespere, é assim mesmo!

Ficará um tipo de geléia, empelotada mesmo.

With a spoon, stir again, trying to crush the solid parts that were formed.

Do not despair, it’s like that!

It is going be a kind of jam, really lumpy.

Tampe o vidro e deixe descansar até o dia seguinte.

Abra o pote e volte a mexer, com colher, dissolvendo a geléia até virar um gel.

Cover the glass and let it rest until the next day.
Open the jar and stir the jelly with a spoon, dissolving until it becomes a gel.

Em outro vidro faça 5 marcações com caneta marcador. Cada marcação corresponde a 20%

e as 5 marcações correspondem a 100%.

Vamos fazer uma mistura com cola branca pva, a 40%. Como se faz isso?

Coloque o gel de CMC no vidro até atingir a primeira marcação com caneta, use uma espátula para assentar o gel no fundo do vidro.

Complete o restante das marcações do vidro com a cola branca e novamente mexa com colher até que a massa, ou nova cola, fique bem homogeneizada.

On another glass, make 5 markings with a marker pen. Each mark corresponds to 20%

and the 5 markings correspond to 100%.

Let's make a 40% mixture with white glue. How do you do this?

Place the CMC gel in the glass until it reaches the first pen mark, use a spatula to set the gel on the bottom of the glass.

Complete the rest of the markings on the glass with the white glue and again stir with a spoon until the dough, or new glue, is well homogenized.

Você sentirá que a nova cola é suave, macia, deslizante e lisa.....uma massa perfeita!

You will feel that the new glue is smooth, soft, sliding ..... a perfect paste!

Se preferir divida parte da cola em outro pote com tampa preferencialmente de plástico para não criar ferrugem.

E esta pronta a cola maravilhosa com CMC!

You may divide part of the new glue in another pot with a plastic lid.

Vamos fazer o teste?

Tenho 2 pedaços de papel e vou colar um no outro.

Colei. E como o tempo de pega é maior posso descolar o papel, ajeitar, colar novamente... ou até mudar de papel: colar outro......

....ou simplesmente ajeitar melhor o papel!

"Mas o que é Photo Board?!" - você deve estar se perguntando!

É simples: sabe quando vamos tirar fotos de um objeto e precisamos arrumar uma mesa, uma superfície para coloca-lo e ainda precisamos enfeitar essa mesa ou superfície? Pode ser bem chato de fazer e nos toma um bom tempo, não é?

Quando temos vários Photos Boards fica muito mais fácil porque basta escolher um, colocar nosso objeto em cima e fotografar!

Isso mesmo, um Photo Board é um "fundo para fotos", ou seja, uma "mesa pronta", uma "superfície pronta" então não precisamos usar nosso tempo enfeitando um fundo para nossas fotos.

Adotei Photo Boards recentemente e estou gostando bastante!

O material é bem fácil: um pedaço de papelão, papéis de presente

ou até tecido, algumas tintas e pronto!

Vem ver como fazer!

"But what is Photo Board ?!" - you must be asking yourself!
It's simple: you know when we are going to take pictures of an object and we need to find a table, a surface to put it on and we still need to decorate that table or surface? It can be quite annoying to do and it takes us a long time, right?
When we have several Photos Boards it is much easier because you just have to choose one, place the object on top and shoot!
That's right, a Photo Board is a "background for photos", that is, a "ready table ", a "ready surface" so we don't need to spend our time decorating a background for our photos.
I recently adopted Photo Boards and I'm really enjoying them!
The material is easy to find: a piece of cardboard, wrapping paper or even fabric, some paints and that's it!
Come and see how to make it!

A base para o Photo Board pode ser um pedaço de madeira ou de papelão; eu prefiro papelão porque é mais fácil achar pedaços de papelão do que de madeiras e também porque podemos descartar um Photo Board de papelão quando quisermos renovar a decoração ou quando ficar usado demais.

The base for the Photo Board can be a piece of wood or cardboard; I prefer cardboard because it is easier to find pieces of cardboard than wood and also because we can discard a cardboard Photo Board when we want to renew the decoration or when it is used too much.

Os  papéis que serão colados na base podem ser rasgados com a mão ou cortados com tesoura, a gosto, e colados com cola para decoupage aplicada com pincel.

The papers that will be glued to the base can be torn by hand or cut with scissors, as desired, and glued with glue for decoupage applied with a brush.

O resultado é uma explosão de cores bastante interessante!

The result is a very interesting explosion of colors!

Para "suavizar" um pouco essa explosão podemos aplicar gesso acrílico em algumas partes, aleatoriamente.

Não é necessário envernizar, o Photo Board está pronto.

To "soften" this explosion a little, we can apply acrylic gesso on some parts, randomly.
There is no need to varnish, the Photo Board is ready.

Outra forma de cobrir a base é com folhas de livros inteiras, sem rasgar, colando-as vertical e horizontalmente para dar mais movimento.

Another way to cover the base is with whole sheets of books, without tearing, gluing them vertically and horizontally to give more movement.

Não é necessário envernizar mas pode-se aplicar uma fina camada de cola por cima de toda a extensão.

It is not necessary to varnish but a thin layer of glue can be applied over the entire length.

Nos 2 exemplos acima também podemos aplicar carimbos e até envelhecer a superfície, conforme o resultado que se queira nas fotos a serem tiradas tendo como fundo um desses Photo Boards.

In the 2 examples above, we can also apply stamps and even age the surface, depending on the result we want in the photos to be taken against the background of one of these Photo Boards.

No vídeo (link logo abaixo) eu mostro outro Photo Board simplesmente revestido com papel de presente; outro jeito simples e rápido de fazer mais um Photo Board.

Com algum material e alguns pedaços de papelão podemos fazer muitos Photo Boards, um para cada tipo de foto que iremos tirar.

With some material and some pieces of cardboard we can make a lot of Photo Boards, one for each type of photo that we are going to take.

Materiais usados:

- um pedaço grande de papelão (pode ser de caixa);

- folhas de livros, recortes de papel, sobras de papel de scrapbooking, papel de presente;

- cola para decoupage;

- pincel para aplicar a cola;

- gesso acrílico branco;

- carimbos;

- placa acrílica;

- carimbeira Archival Ink.

Materials used:

- a large piece of cardboard (can be from a box);

- sheets of books, paper clippings, scrapbooking paper scraps, gift paper;

- glue for decoupage;

- brush to apply the glue;

- white acrylic gesso;

- stamps;

- acrylic plate;

- Archival Ink stamp.

GELLI: TÉCNICAS COM STENCIL (TECHNIQUES WITH STENCIL)

GELLI é um dos materiais que produz um efeito sempre ótimo, por vezes é uma surpresa, e sempre único!

Existem várias técnicas para aproveitar ao máximo um GELLI, e uma delas é com o uso de stencil.

Também existem stencil de todos os tamanhos, com recortes variados, um mundo!

E é nesse mundo que vamos entrar neste vídeo: um mundo de cores e formas, de tintas e efeitos que produzem lindos papéis decorados!

Efeitos abstratos ficam lindos, da mesma forma que efeitos obtidos com stencil.

As cores se misturam e é impossível errar porque quando obtemos um resultado que não gostamos basta refazer o procedimento adicionando outras cores, fazendo outros efeitos.

The colors are mixed and it is impossible to make mistakes because when we get a result that we don't like, we just redo the procedure by adding other colors, making other effects.

Podemos testar a combinação de cores mais inusitada, ou a mais óbvia, tudo é experimentação e aprendizado.

Ao aplicar a tinta é preciso tomar cuidado para que ela não "patine" sobre a Gelli, então usamos o rolo de borracha apenas para aplicar e não para levar a tinta de um lado para o outro.

When applying the paint it is necessary to take care that it does not "skid" on the Gelli, so we use the rubber roller only to apply and not to take the paint from one side to the other.

Basicamente podemos experimentar a impressão em qualquer tipo de papel incluindo o papel vegetal; o cuidado é apenas quando usarmos papéis leves ou de gramatura baixa.

Basically we can try printing on any type of paper, including tracing paper; caution is only when using  light weight paper.

O resultado sempre surpreende de forma positiva!

A aplicação de stencil ou até de objetos sobre a Gelli revela um número sem fim de efeitos! Cada impressão é única, original.

Neste vídeo usei alguns stencils, tintas acrílicas, rolo de borracha e papel gramatura 120.

In this video I have used some stencils, acrylic paints, a rubber roller and  a120 gram paper.

Por cima do material anterior pode-se apenas acrescentar mais tinta, resultando numa soma de cores e formas.

On top of the previous material more paint can be added, resulting in a sum of colors and shapes.

A Gelli Plate é um dos materiais mais versáteis que conheço e que produz efeitos realmente únicos.

Não há a preocupação em "acertar" ou em "perfeição" porque o interessante deste material é justamente a surpresa na mistura de cores, e formas. 

Com o tempo, aprendemos algumas técnicas e assim conseguimos obter o resultado que queremos mas sempre com o elemento surpresa ao nosso lado.

GELLI: TÉCNICAS BÁSICAS (BASIC TECHNIQUES)

GELLI PLATE, esse é o nome completo desse material maravilhoso, á base de gelatina, que nos permite criar efeitos de pintura em papel completamente exclusivos, únicos!

Neste vídeo veremos técnicas básicas, muito simples, porque a intenção aqui é entrar em contato com o material, conhecer como ele se comporta quando aplicamos tintas e papel sobre ele.

Sempre digo que conhecer o material que temos em mãos é fundamental para soltarmos a nossa criatividade sabendo exatamente como fazer, como produzir o efeito que queremos!

Acertar, errar, acertar novamente....não há o compromisso de que tudo saia certo, é um experimento!

É possível obter vários efeitos nas impressões, alguns abstratos e outros com ajuda de stencil.

É isso: GELLI nos possibilita fazer impressões em papel, com quase qualquer tipo de tinta.

Na foto abaixo usei um stencil como base e tinta acrílica que é a que, na minha opinião fica melhor.

Mas podemos usar outras tintas desde que não fiquem muito solúveis como a aquarela.

But we can use other paints as long as they are not too soluble like watercolors.

Além dos papéis também podemos imprimir em envelopes, tags, páginas de livros, qualquer papel em qualquer formato. 

Claro que o tamanho da GELLI limita a impressão mas a arte fica tão inesperada que mesmo com tamanhos menores vale a pena fazer.

In addition to papers, we can also print on envelopes, tags, book pages, any paper in any format.

Minha GELLI tem o tamanho A4, mas podemos faze-la em forma de círculo, de triângulo, ou em qualquer outro formato.

Testei essa receita por um bom tempo e a adaptei para o nosso clim. 

Ela não dura para sempre, um dia terá que ser refeita, mas dura bastante. A minha tem quase 1 ano e está ótima.

Como fazer impressões no papel usando Gelli?

Coloque pequenas porções de tinta acrílica sobre a Gelli e espalhe com um rolinho de borracha.

How to make prints on paper using Gelli?

Place small portions of acrylic paint over the Gelli and spread it with a rubber roller.

Coloque o papel diretamente sobre a GELLI ou aplique um stencil antes de colocar o papel.

Place the paper directly on the GELLI or apply a stencil before loading the paper.

Retire o stencil e coloque um pedaço de papel por cima. Eu coloquei um envelope aberto.

O efeito é lindo! E com o resto da tinta que sobrou na GELLI aplico algumas tags já cortadas: mais efeitos lindos!

Na verdade, é muito fácil usar a GELLI para fazer impressões em papéis porque não existe certo e errado. Quando alguma impressão não fica boa podemos fazer outra por cima, nada se perde!
