Sketchbook de Testes (Sketchbook for Testing) - VIDEO

Vamos ver outro sketchbook? Desta vez é um skethbook que eu uso pra testes, ou seja, quero fazer um desenho ou pintura mas antes preciso estudar como fazer, que material usar, como serão algumas partes do desenho, então tenho um sketchbook apenas pra testes e tem funcionado bem pra mim. Foi nele que "nasceu" minha primeira Brigit, e depois desenhei e pintei algumas "Brigits" em aquarela em outros papéis.

Let's see another sketchbook?! This time it's a skethbook that I use for tests, that is, I want to do a drawing or painting but before doing it  I need to study how to do it, what material to use, study how some parts of the drawing will look like, so I have a sketchbook just for testing and it has worked well for me. It was in one that my first Brigit was "born", and then I drew and painted some "Brigits" in watercolor in other papers.

Também poderia chama-lo de sketchbook de estudos e nele posso desenhar qualquer coisa que seja meu objetivo em desenhar depois, em papel maior, em tela, ou em outro sketchbook mais "certinho".

I could also call it a study sketchbook, and in it I can draw anything that is my goal in drawing later, on larger paper, on canvas, or in another more "beautiful" sketchbook.

Nem todos os desenhos acabam tendo uma finalização em outro papel ou sketchbook, muitos deles são apenas testes mesmo: quero testar cores, tamanhos, canetas, lápis, composição de elementos.  Quando faço um desenho ou pintura em definitivo já gosto de saber de todos os detalhes antes: dos que funcionam e dos que não funcionam. Tempos atrás eu não fazia testes e o resultado, em muitas vezes, era uma catástrofe porque eu usava as cores erradas, as composições não combinavam, o tamanho de algumas partes do desenho também ficava errado....era um gasto de tempo e de material, então quando comecei a separar sketchbooks apenas pra testes melhorei bastante meus desenhos e pinturas finais.

Not all drawings end up having a finalization in another paper or sketchbook, many of them are just tests: I want to test colors, sizes, pens, pencil, composition of elements. When I make a drawing or painting definitely I like to know all the details before: those that work and those that do not work. Back in the day I did not do tests and the results were often a catastrophe because I used the wrong colors, the compositions did not match, the size of some parts of the drawing also went wrong .... it was a waste of time and material, so when I started separating sketchbooks just for testing I improved my drawings and finished paintings a lot.

Tudo que faço nesse sketchbook pode ser modificado, mexido, testado. Por exemplo, recentemente precisei aplicar uma camada de aquarela em cima de uma pintura pronta e seca e ver o efeito que isso causou, mostrei esse exemplo em um de meus vídeos onde falo sobre camadas de cores em aquarela. A nova camada de tinta alterou bastante a anterior então muitas vezes uso esse recurso quando quero colocar camadas em pinturas já prontas em outros sketchbooks mas tenho dúvidas de como ficarão: vou no meu sketchbook e faço o teste.

Everything I do in this sketchbook can be modified, scrambled, tested. For example, I recently needed to apply a layer of watercolor on top of a dry paint and see the effect, I have showed this example in one of my videos where I talk about layers of colors in watercolor. The new layer has changed a lot the previous one so I often use this feature when I want to put layers in paintings already done in other sketchbooks but I have doubts about how they will look: so I try first in my sketchbook for testing.
