Hoje vou mostrar algumas fotos da Tower Clock, onde está o relógio mais bonito do mundo!



A quantidade de pessoas com máquinas na mão, tirando fotos e olhando pra cima é surpreendente, parece que todo mundo fica hipnotizado quando vê o relógio, que funciona!

The amount of people with machines in hand, taking pictures and looking up is amazing, it seems like everyone is mesmerized when sees the clock, and it works!

A Tower Clock pertence ao Palácio de Westminster (Parlamento Inglês) e é mais popularmente conhecida apenas como Big Ben, mas Big Ben na verdade é o nome do sino que o Ministro Sir Benjamin Hall mandou colocar na torre, em 1859, e o nome Big Ben é uma homenagem ao ministro.

The Clock Tower belongs to the Palace of Westminster (the British Parliament) and is more popularly known only as Big Ben, but Big Ben is actually the name of the bell that 

Minister Sir Benjamin Hall had put in  the tower in 1859, and the name Big Ben is a tribute to the Minister.

O relógio é pontual e também pode ser ouvido em algumas datas comemorativas, seja como for, é um edifício magnífico!



The clock is punctual and can also be heard on some special dates, anyway, it is a magnificent building!

Ao lado do Big Ben está o Rio Tâmisa com muitas embarcações tanto para turistas quanto cargueiras e outras.

Por volta do ano 1850, o rio ganhou o triste apelido de "Grande Fedor", estava morto,  mas muito tem sido feito para recupera-lo; algumas vezes com sucesso, outras nem tanto, e o fato é que como atravessa áreas urbanas acaba sendo depósito de lixo apesar de toda a luta de ambientalistas e ativistas para preservar a vida marinha e a de outros animais que vivem e se alimentam do rio.

Do outro lado podemos ver a enorme roda gigante London Eye.....se andei nela? Claro que andei! É muitíssimo alta e roda bem devagar então não dá pra ter medo.



A London Eye também é conhecida como  a Roda do Milênio pois foi feita para comemorar a virada do ano 2000.

Ela tem 32 cabines e pode receber até 15 mil visitantes por dia,  uma volta completa dura cerca  de 30 minutos e pode ser em grande estilo: com champagne, vinho e canapés em cabine privada. Mas também há ingressos com preços mais acessíveis apenas para quem quer contemplar a vista da cidade sem tanto rapapé!



On the other side of the river we can see the huge London Eye ferris wheel .... if I had a ride? Sure! It is extremely high but runs very slowly so I was not afraid.



The London Eye is also known as the Millennium Wheel as it was made ​​to celebrate the new year 2000.



She has 32 cabins and can accommodate up to 15,000 visitors per day, one complete revolution takes about 30 minutes and can be in high style with champagne, wine and canapes in private cabin. But there are also  more affordable tickets for those who just want to enjoy the view of the city without much luxury!
