FÉRIAS (SERÁ MESMO??) & BLÁBLÁBLÁ (VACATION !! Really???)

Amores & Amoras, agora que a nossa 3ª Maratona de Encadernação Artesanal terminou e é Julho, é o momento de FÉRIAS!

Mas, pra quem não sabe, é o momento em que eu preciso de um tempo pra fazer novos vídeos pro YouTube e programar o 2º semestre do ano.

Então, estou sempre por aqui, "de olho" em tudo, viu?!

Estou presente nas Redes Sociais, nos Grupos de ATC e de Encadernação Artesanal do Curso Básico de Encadernação do Estúdio Brigit.

Ou seja: FÉRIAS!! Será mesmo???



My dear friends, now that our 3rd Artisanal Binding Marathon has ended and it is July, it's time for a short rest!

But, for those who don't know, this is the moment when I need some time to make new videos for YouTube and schedule the 2nd semester of the year.

So, I'm always around, "keeping an eye" on everything, see ?!

I am present on Social Networks, ATC Groups and in my Basic Binding Course at Estúdio Brigit.

In other words: VACATION !! Really???

COMO FAZER MÁSCARA DE TECIDO (HOW TO MAKE FABRIC MASK)

Essa máscara cobre desde a base do nariz até abaixo do queixo onde começa o pescoço, chega quase ás orelhas também. É dupla: tem tecido na frente e atrás, e entre eles pode-se colocar um filtro como aquele "papel pano" de cozinha. O elástico é ajustável a qualquer tipo de rosto: mais magro, mais redondinho...é só ajustar. A parte por onde entra o filtro é colocada para baixo do rosto.

Para lavar: basta deixar de molho em água com desinfetante sem esfregar, por meia hora, enxaguar, e pendurar tentando manter o formato dela com o plissado (as nervurinhas). Depois de seca, passar a ferro para acentuar bem as nervurinhas.

Ao sair: o filtro deve ser trocado de 2 em 2 horas.

Pode fazer o teste do aerosol: a humidade não passa pro lado interno em contato com o rosto. 🥰❤️

Fiz de coração pra todos que estejam precisando de ideia para fazer uma boa máscara.

This mask covers from the base of the nose to below the chin where the neck begins, almost reaches the ears too. It is double sized: it has fabric in the front and back, and between them you can put a filter like that "kitchen towel". The elastic is adjustable to any type of face: thinner, rounder ... just adjust. The part where the filter enters is placed under the face.

To wash: just soak in water with disinfectant without rubbing, for half an hour, rinse, and hang trying to keep the shape of it with the pleat (the ribs). After drying, iron to accentuate the ribs.

When leaving: the filter must be changed every 2 hours.

You can do the aerosol test: moisture does not pass to the inner side in contact with the face. 🥰❤️

I made it with all my heart and love to everyone who needs an idea to make a good mask. 

A máscara que fiz é com tecido plissado na parte da frente.

The mask has a pleated fabric on the front.

A máscara é dupla e na parte inferior, por dentro, podemos colocar um pedaço de "papel pano" de cozinha para servir como filtro. Pode-se usar também um pedaço de filtro de papel para café.

The mask is double and on the bottom, inside, we can place a piece of kitchen "paper cloth" to serve as a filter. A piece of coffee filter can also be used.

A máquina de costura que tenho é pequena, linda, mas feita para papel. Quando fiz as máscaras tive bastante dificuldade por causa do plissado que torna o tecido mais grosso.

My sewing machine  is small, beautiful, but made for paper. When I made the masks I had a lot of difficulty because of the pleat that makes the fabric thicker.

Fiz um molde, pode ser de papelão, medindo 40,5cm x 20,5cm. A partir desse molde podemos fazer várias máscaras.

I made a mold, it can be made of cardboard, measuring 40.5cm x 20.5cm. From this mold we can make several masks.

Vou fazer a demonstração usando papel para não forçar a minha máquina de costura.

I will do the demonstration using paper so as not to force my sewing machine.

Vamos dobrar 2 vezes as extremidades menores do papel.

We are going to fold the smaller ends of the paper 2 times.

Como estou usando papel, pra diferenciar, fiz riscos com caneta em um dos lados como se fosse o tecido.

As I'm using paper, to differentiate, I made scratches with a pen on one side as if it were the fabric.

Então dobre a extremidade, e dobre novamente. Precisamos costurar essa parte.

Then fold the end, and fold again. We need to sew that part.

Faça a mesma coisa com a outra extremidade do tecido: dobre 2 vezes e costure.

Do the same thing with the other end of the fabric: fold 2 times and sew.

Agora dobre o tecido ao meio juntando as partes costuradas, com a parte desenhada do tecido pra dentro. Na verdade, por enquanto estamos costurando pelo avesso.

Em cada extremidade costure cerca de 2,5cm, como marca o lápis vermelho abaixo, assim o tecido estará dobrado ao meio e costurado nessas duas extremidades.

Now fold the fabric in half by joining the sewn parts, with the drawn part of the fabric inside. In fact, for now we are sewing inside out.

At each end sew about 2.5 cm, as marked by the red pencil below, so the fabric will be folded in half and sewn on these two ends.

Então no meio teremos a entrada para o filtro.

So in the middle we will have the entry for the filter.

Agora vamos colocar os 4 elásticos achatados, cada um deles medindo cerca de 23cm de comprimento.



Vamos colocar todos no lado de dentro do tecido dobrado, deixando as 4 pontas para fora.

Now we are going to place the 4 flat rubber bands, each measuring about 23cm in length.

Let's put them all on the inside of the folded fabric, leaving the 4 ends out.

E vamos costurar, onde mostra o lápis azul, para fixar os elásticos.

And let's sew, where the blue pencil shows, to fix the elastics.

Depois que os elásticos estiverem costurados cortamos os excessos.

After the elastics are sewn, we cut the excess.

Agora vamos virar o tecido do lado certo!

Now let's turn the fabric on the right side!

Os 4 elásticos ficarão para fora, corretamente posicionados.

The 4 elastics will be out, correctly positioned.

Com a abertura do filtro para baixo vamos fazer pregas no tecido. Serão 3 pregas ao todo. Essas pregas são chamadas de "plissado".

With the filter opening downwards we will make pleats in the fabric. There will be 3 pleats in all.

A costura deve ser nas laterais do plissado, nas laterais da máscara. Amplie a foto para ver melhor ou veja o vídeo, o link está no final deste post.

O nó nos elásticos é chamado "nó de marinheiro" que é um nó que desliza de um lado pro outro e assim permite que o elástico seja ajustado de acordo com o rosto da pessoa que vai usar a máscara.



Realmente sugiro que você veja o vídeo e faça o nó junto comigo.

The knot in the elastics is called "sailor's knot" which is a knot that slides from side to side and thus allows the elastic to be adjusted according to the face of the person who will wear the mask.

I really suggest that you watch the video and tie the knot with me.

Depois de fazer os nós nos 4 elásticos, colocamos o filtro dentro da máscara.

After making the knots on the 4 rubber bands, we put the filter inside the mask.

Para esse filtro cortamos um papel de cozinha o meio.....

For this filter we cut a kitchen paper in the middle .....

....e dobramos um pedaço cortado em 3 partes....

.... and we fold the piece cut into 3 parts ....

...colocamos dentro da máscara....

... we put it inside the mask ....

...e pronto! Umas Máscara segura, eficaz, com tecido duplo, filtro e com elásticos reguláveis!

...and it is ready! Safe, an effective mask with double fabric, filter and adjustable elastics!

Neste post vou falar apenas da loja DO ART, que fica na Rua Campo Alegre 436 no Porto, em Portugal, porque realmente é uma loja completa quando falamos de Scrapbooking.

Na verdade a loja não é aberta ao público porque eles são revendedores de material, é uma loja ideal pra quem quer comprar em quantidade.

Enquanto que na loja M. Souza Ribeiro (também no Porto) é o paraíso dos materiais para Artes Plásticas (falei disso no post anterior), a DO ART é o paraíso dos materiais para Scrapbooking: tem TUDO!

Materiais da We R Memory Keepers, blocos da Graphic 45, carimbos de várias marcas,  enfeites, um sonho!!

In this post I will talk only about the DO ART store, which is located at Rua Campo Alegre 436 in Porto, Portugal, because it  is really a complete store when we talk about Scrapbooking.

In fact the store is not open to the public because they are resellers of material, it is an ideal store for those who want to buy in quantity.

While at M. Souza Ribeiro store (also in Porto)  is the paradise of materials for Fine Arts (I mentioned this in the previous post), DO ART is the paradise of materials for Scrapbooking: they have EVERYTHING!

WeR Memory Keepers materials, Graphic 45 pads, stamps from various brands, ornaments, a dream store!!

Comprei 3 blocos da Graphic 45, comprei carimbos de borracha com desenhos de mapas, avião, lindos! 

I bought 3  Graphic 45 pads, some rubber stamps with drawings of maps, planes, beautiful!

Será que eu consigo?? Tem muitas coisas maravilhosas naquela loja!

Anyway, if I could I would have brought everything, bought everything, so the next time I go to Portugal I will go to DO ART, with an empty suitcase and bring everything !!!

Wonder if I can bring everything?? There are many wonderful things in that store!

COMPRINHAS DE MATERIAL DE ARTE EM PORTUGAL #1 (BUYING ART MATERIAL IN PORTUGAL # 1)

Olá!



Neste post eu vou mostrar as compras de material de arte que fiz em Portugal quando estive lá em Outubro do ano passado (2019)!



Também fiz vários vídeos mostrando as cidades e os castelos que visitei, lugares interessantes, aldeias, lojas de artesanato....e todos esses vídeos estão no meu IGTV no Instagram. Pra ver todos esses lugares é só seguir o Estúdio Brigit no Instagram e entrar no IGTV, estão todos lá!

In this post I will show you the art supplies purchases I made in Portugal when I was there in October, last year (2019)!

I also made several videos showing the cities and castles I visited, interesting places, villages, handicraft stores .... and all these videos are on my IGTV on Instagram. To see all these places, just follow Estúdio Brigit on Instagram and watch my IGTV, they are all there!



Então, vamos lá!



A primeira loja que achei sim, achei porque estava visitando o Castelo de Santa Maria da  Feira e em uma das ruas da cidade vi uma loja de artesanato.....claro que entrei e fiz algumas compras!



O endereço da loja é este:

Comprei 3 carimbos que já vem com acrílico, e duas carimbeiras: uma prata e uma dourada.



So, let's go!

The first store I found, yes, I found it because I was visiting the Castle of Santa Maria da Feira and on one of the city streets I saw a craft store ..... of course I went in and did some shopping!

I bought 3 stamps that already come with acrylic, and two pads: one silver and one gold.

Um cortador em forma de anjo; em Portugal eles chamam "cortador" e nós no Brasil chamamos de "faca de corte":

Também comprei  este cortador aqui, que eu sei que é pra envelopes ou convites mas sinceramente ainda não me adaptei a ele:

E por fim, estas facas de corte da Sizzix que sinceramente dão muito trabalho porque são muito pequenas. Lindas, mas não sei se tenho tempo e paciência pra usar:

And finally, these cutting knives from Sizzix that honestly give a lot of work because they are very small. Beautiful, but I don't know if I have time and patience to use:

No centro do Porto, na loja Ponto das Artes que fica na Rua Santa Catarina 125, comprei alguns materiais de Artes Plásticas.



É uma loja bem comprida, grande, no coração do Porto, em uma rua de pedestres lotada de turistas.



Comprei 3 pincéis com cabo e ponta metálicos e uma caixa pequena de Aquarela da Sennelier:

In the center of Porto, at the Ponto das Artes store on Rua Santa Catarina 125, I bought some Plastic Arts materials.

It is a very long, large store in the heart of Porto, on a pedestrian street full of tourists.

I bought 3 brushes with metallic handle and tip and a small box of Sennelier Watercolor:

Também no Porto,  há a loja M. Souza Ribeiro, na Rua Pr. Guilherme Gomes Fernandes nº84 que é um verdadeiro paraíso das Artes Plásticas! Tem quase tudo!! O Travel Brush não tinha mas.......tinha muitos outros materiais!



Comprei vários sketchbooks e 3 tubos de tinta aquarela:

Also in Porto, there is the M. Souza Ribeiro store, at Rua Pr. Guilherme Gomes Fernandes nº84, which is a true paradise for Fine Arts! It has almost everything !! They did not have the Travel Brush ....... instead they had a lot of other materials!

I bought several sketchbooks and 3 tubes of watercolor paint:

Em Braga existem várias lojas de Artes Plásticas e craft, comprei 2 pincéis pra aquarela e uma faca de corte no formato de Poinsetia:

In Braga there are several fine arts and craft stores, I bought 2 watercolor brushes and a cutting knife in the Poinsettia format:

Voltando ao Porto, atrás da Torre dos Clérigos, só que não sei o nome da loja, comprei blocos para aquarela e um Visual Journal:

Returning to Porto, behind the Torre dos Clérigos, but I don't know the name of the store, I bought watercolor blocks and a Visual Journal:

Ou seja, realmente a Europa é o berço das artes, é uma maravilha andar pelas ruas de qualquer um daqueles países que respiram Arte!

In other words, Europe is really the cradle of the arts, it is wonderful to walk the streets of any of those countries that breathe Art!
