É um material maravilhoso para quem gosta de impressão em papel!

Com a GELLI podemos colorir papéis dando a eles nossa marca pessoal, nossa forma de fazer arte, usando várias técnicas que permitem resultados únicos, diferentes, exclusivos!

GELLI é uma espécie de gelatina, vendida comercialmente em formatos retangulares, quadrados e até circulares, pronta para uso: basta um pouco de tinta, papel, e já temos uma bela estampa.

Muito utilizada nos EUA e em vários outros países por causa da facilidade em obter belos efeitos em papel, também pode ser feita em casa e tem uma vida útil bem longa.

GELLI PLATE, have you heard about it? You know what it is?

It is a wonderful material for those who like printing on paper!

With GELLI we can color papers giving them our personal brand, our way of making art, using various techniques that allow for unique, different, exclusive results!

GELLI is a kind of gelatin, sold commercially in rectangular, square and even circular shapes, ready for use: just a little paint, some paper, and we already have a beautiful print.

Widely used in the USA and in many other countries because of the ease of obtaining beautiful effects on paper, it can also be made at home and has a very long service life.

Vamos ao Material:

Here is the Material:

- uma caixa de plástico ou de acrílico, ou pirex,  sem marcas e de preferência com tampa, bem lisa ou um tabuleiro para bolo no formato retangular;

- a plastic or acrylic box, or pyrex, without marks and preferably with a  lid or a rectangular cake pan;

- uma panela pequena e fogão;

- a small pot and stove;

- uma colher;

- a spoon;

- 1 e 1/2 xícara de água filtrada;

- 1 and 1/2 cup filtered water;

- uma bacia pequena, preferencialmente de metal;

- a small bowl, preferably of metal;

- 1 e 1/2 xícara de glicerina líquida;

- 1 and 1/2 cup of liquid glycerin;

- 7 pacotes de gelatina em pó sem sabor;

- 7 packets of powdered gelatin without flavor;

- 1/2 xícara de açúcar branco comum;

- 1/2 cup of plain white sugar;

- uma xícara padrão para culinária (240ml);

- a standard cup for cooking (240ml);

1- Coloque o açúcar e a água na panela, mexa para dissolver e leve ao fogo para esquentar bem mas não deixe ferver!

1- Put the sugar and water in the pan, stir to mix and bring to the fire to heat up well but don't let it boil!

2- Coloque toda a gelatina na bacia e acrescente a glicerina, mexendo delicadamente até dissolver a gelatina e homogeneizar a mistura.

2- Place all the gelatine in the bowl and add the glycerin, stirring gently until the gelatine dissolves and homogenize the mixture.

3- Com cuidado, acrescente a água quase fervente á mistura de glicerina e gelatina e mexa devagar para não formar bolhas.

3- Carefully add the almost boiling water to the mixture of glycerin and gelatin and stir slowly so as not to form bubbles.

4- Derrame todo esse conteúdo dentro da panela e leve ao fogo baixo mexendo até que o líquido fique um pouco mais transparente, mas não deixe ferver!

4- Pour all this content into the pan and bring it to a low heat, stirring until the liquid becomes a little more transparent, but do not let it boil!

5- Apague o fogo e com colher retire a espuma que se formou na superfície.

5- Put out the fire and with a spoon remove the foam that was formed on the surface.

6- Verta na caixa de acrílico ou tabuleiro, retire o máximo de espuma possível e deixe descansar até firmar.

6- Pour into the acrylic box or tray, remove as much foam as possible and let it rest until firm.

7- A GELLI é pegajosa ao tato mas não gruda nas mãos. Retire-a delicadamente da caixa quando estiver bem firme e está pronta para usar. 

7- The GELLI is sticky to the touch but does not stick to the hands. Remove it gently from the box when it is firm and it's ready to use.

Guarde-a na caixa onde foi feita, coberta com tampa ou com filme plástico.
